Hotel Khajuraho is a beautiful hotel situated very close to the Western Group of Temples. The rooms and the hotel grounds are well kept, and maintained thoroughly. They give ample importance to cleanliness round the clock. The rooms and the bathroom, the bedsheets , balcony all were neat and clean. They provided us with hot water in the morning as well as at night. The garden area and the Garden View Restaurant provides good and healthy food, however the waiting time is a little more than average hotels, as they prepare the food after the order is placed. Room service is also available. The staff is pretty cooperative and helpful. It is a spacious hotel with a beautiful garden, where one can spend the evenings or mornings at leisure. Overall, I really felt at home during my stay at Khajuraho and Mr. Nitin Jain was really helpful in every way, during my stay at Hotel Surya.

Decent hotel near temples

Hotel surya is a decent hotel with good clean rooms at a walk-able distance from western group of temples. There is a small garden inside and staff is cooperative. There are shops nearby for tea and breakfast. For lunch and dinner again Badri Seth Bhoj is a good place for fresh homely veg food and about half a km walk from here. There are big sized autos available near the entry gate for local sightseeing.

Hotel is quite neat and clean, Rooms are quite good, it also comes with Garden area, and two small halls to host events. It was near to main attraction areas of Khajuraho western temples and light and sound show. Getting hot water in morning can sometimes become challenge. Over had good time here.

Dishonest scam at work at Hotel Surya

Please do not stay here they are many hotels you can stay at . Plenty ! This hotel is managed by a dishonest Jain man . He will charge for things and not give you an itemised bill ( even when you have requested it many times), will not return change and above all lie blantantly all to line his pockets with money . He also is the business owner of a taxi service based in Orchha . My own tour guide from Intrepid travel ( Australian based company ) suggested this man . He suggested his hotel and even arranged the taxi service . Knowing all along it was a scam . I do not believe Intrepid travel knew of this however they are about to. They all help each other to scam as much money as they can out of westerns . They have no qualms doing this and defend their dishonesty even when exposed. Stay elsewhere and not use the taxi service based in Orchha as is also connected to this man . They are honest people in India they are sadly though hard to find .

Charming little place. Rooms spacious and clean, nice peaceful garden. Service very pleasant but a little slow. If you stay here do yourself a favour and have a massage, it is absolutely amazing, inexpensive and he will fit you in at any time, I think it is one of the best I have ever had!!
